Description

Recrystallised Silicon Carbide (RSIC) offers high strength, high-temperature resistance, ground resistance, abrasion and corrosion resistance, oxidation resistance, good thermal shock resistance and high thermal conductivity. The sheaths are commonly used in chemical, metallurgy and industrial ceramic kiln applications. It exhibits tremendous hot strength and oxidation resistance.

As there is no bonding material and the product is almost pure silicon carbide the application temperatures are as high as 1650°C with high thermal cycling possible.

Advantages

  • Long service life
  • Good abrasive resistance
  • High thermal shock resistance
  • High electrical insulation resistance
  • Anti-corrosion at high temperatures
