Description

The NSiC Nitride Bonded Silicon Carbide sheaths are commonly used as a protection sheath for Thermocouple Sensors which are commonly used in Incineration, Aluminium and Molten Metal industries. The sheaths offer good performance and are cost effective compared to Syalon (Si3n4), Silicon Carbide (NSIC) & Cast Iron sheaths. The NSiC sheaths are strong and have a high thermal shock resistance and high corrosion resistance properties.

The sheaths are suitable for use at high temperatures up to 1500°C. They are available in a variety of lengths and diameters, see the table below.

Advantages

  • High bending strength
  • Good corrosion Resistance
  • High temperature tolerance 1400°C
  • Good Oxidation resistance
  • Superior thermal conductivity
